Verticus Advisors was founded in 2024 by Ryan Cooper with a simple goal: to give individuals, families, and businesses a more complete and transparent financial advisory experience. After more than 15 years in public accounting helping clients navigate complex tax matters across households, businesses, trusts, estates, and nonprofits he saw an opportunity to serve clients beyond just traditional tax and accounting services.
That vision grew into a firm designed to combine expert tax planning with personalized investment management and financial guidance using the best tools available. By bridging these services together, clients gain a clear, integrated path to building and maintaining wealth.
Ryan brings both professional credentials and personal perspective to the table. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2012 and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) since 2021, he offers clients deep technical expertise. But just as importantly, he has nearly two decades of first-hand experience investing in stocks, real estate and other assets. He believes in helping people make confident financial decisions by connecting financial data with real-world strategy.
Ryan has lived with his wife and two daughters in Sandy, Utah since 2018. When he's not busy he enjoys spending time with family, hiking, snowboarding, gardening and relaxing at the family cabin in southeast Idaho.
